Next-Gen CT Scan with 96-Slice Technology: Detailed Imaging from Head to Toe
At Texas Imaging & Labs, we bring you the latest in diagnostic imaging with our state-of-the-art 96-slice CT scanner from Siemens, Germany. This advanced technology enables rapid, high-resolution scans with lower radiation exposure—making it ideal for kids, elderly patients, and whole-body assessments. Whether it’s for a routine study or an emergency evaluation, we provide fast, accurate, and compassionate care.
What is CT scan Test?
A CT Scan (Computed Tomography Scan) is a safe, fast, and painless test that takes clear, detailed pictures of the inside of your body. It helps doctors see your organs, bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues in much greater detail than regular scans. This makes it easier to detect health issues like infections, tumors, kidney stones, injuries, or internal problems.
At Texas Imaging & Labs, we use a 96-slice advanced CT scanner from Siemens, Germany, which completes most scans in just a few seconds. It’s designed to be comfortable and quick, making it ideal even for children and elderly patients.
Why is CT scan Done?
A CT Scan is recommended when your doctor needs a more detailed view of the inside of your body to diagnose or monitor a health condition. You may need a CT scan if you're experiencing:
Persistent or severe headaches
Unexplained pain in the chest or abdomen
Sudden injuries from falls or accidents
Breathing difficulties or chronic cough
Blood in urine or unusual bowel habits
Swelling or lumps that need further evaluation
Suspected infections or tumors / cancers
It’s also used to guide certain treatments or procedures, such as biopsies, and to track the progress of ongoing medical conditions.
Preparing for Your CT Scan
Clothing:
Wear loose-fitting clothes. You may be asked to change into a hospital gown depending on the body part being scanned.
Fasting Instructions:
Non-contrast CT: No fasting needed.
Contrast-enhanced CT: Fasting for 4–6 hours is required.
Specific instructions will be given at the time of booking.
Hydration:
Stay well-hydrated before the scan unless otherwise advised.
Post-scan hydration helps eliminate contrast dye if used.
Documents to Carry:
Previous imaging reports (if applicable)
Recent blood tests (especially kidney function tests for contrast studies)
Doctor's prescription or referral note
Notify Our Team If:
You are pregnant or may be pregnant
You have allergies (especially to contrast dye)
You suffer from chronic conditions like diabetes or kidney disease
How CT scan is Conducted
Getting a CT Scan is a quick and comfortable process. Here's what you can expect during the procedure:
Step 1: Preparation You may be asked to change into a hospital gown and remove any metal objects like jewelry, glasses, or belts. If your scan requires contrast dye, you might be given it through an injection or asked to drink it, depending on the type of scan.
Step 2: Positioning You will lie down on a flat table that slowly moves through the CT machine—a large, ring-shaped scanner. It's open from both sides, so there's no feeling of being enclosed.
Step 3: The Scan As the scan begins, the machine rotates around the part of your body being examined. You may hear some soft whirring or clicking sounds, but the procedure is completely painless. Most scans take just a few seconds to a few minutes.
Step 4: After the Scan You can usually go home right after your scan. If contrast dye was used, drinking water will help flush it out of your body.
Our 96-slice Siemens CT scanner completes scans quickly and accurately, making the process smooth and stress-free—especially for children and elderly patients.
